Which kind of martini shaker is more authentic, and why?
A new and even cooler way to view photos from Flickr - Flickr Album!
It is so ironic that I, still reeling from the shock of turning 27 yesterday, got carded for the first time in YEARS at the LCBO this morning.
If today is your birthday: The phoenix will rise from the ashes as sure as the sun will rise in the morning. Your path has been strewn with difficulties and restrictions, but defeat only comes with surrender. This year will be uplifting and inspiring. You will spread your wings and fly.
Hey, does anyone know of places that give free b-day stuff other than Baskin Robbins?
I've seen the cute ads for RedEnvelope in magazines, but never bothered to take a look until last night. What beautiful stuff! Too bad they only ship to the US. If you're going to have a web-based business, you better damn well realize that people in countries other than the US use the intarweb to buy stuff as well. Faugh!
It's 6 days until my birthday. Still time to go shopping.
After my phenomenal bodyfat% reading this morning, I have come to two conclusions:
1. Women really ARE too obsessed with the scale.
2. People do too much freakin cardio and not enough weights.
I was a teeny bit concerned about a small weight gain. I kept telling myself that it was muscle, but I needed a bodyfat test to allay my fears. This morning during my annual physical, I grabbed the ol' bioelectric impedance machine and....
16.1%!!!!!!!!! wooohoo!!! down from 19.3% in July 2004!!!
I got attacked by a swarm of mosquitoes in search of Chinese food last night. Of all the places to be bitten: the backs of both my hands, my left elbow tip, and the top of my foot. I can almost tolerate the itching but not the swelling, anything but the swelling.

Leaving aside, for a moment, the Twins and White Sox in the AL Central, it says here the key to the rest of the AL race might lie in the 42-year-old right arm of Roger Clemens, whose 1.30 ERA suggests he still can pitch a little. The Astros, having fallen apart, will be looking to send Clemens somewhere. There is ample suggestion in the public prints he will consider only a return to New York or his big-league roots in Boston. At the risk of offending the tradition that says everything in baseball needs to be stamped official by either the Yankees or Red Sox, what about Clemens in Texas with the Rangers? Or — and don't laugh — what about Clemens here with the Blue Jays?
