As promised..

As I promised, a picture of my diamond ring. Even my Mom likes it, she can't believe I only paid $60 for it. What I personally like best about it is that the cluster has 13 diamonds in it. :grin

When I think about peace, I touch myself

masturbate4peace.gif

(sung to the tune of the Divinyls' I Touch Myself)
I cum in peace
I want you to know it
When I fear war
I reach down and stroke it
You search for peace
I know where to find it
You must love yourself
Just grab hold and grind it

Chorus:
I don't want anything else
When I think about peace
I touch myself
Oh, I don't want anything else
Oh no, oh no, oh no

Peace is what keeps me coming and coming
Spread my wings, it takes me higher
'Round the world, good feelings are growing
Shoot your friendly fire

I close my eyes
See an end to hate
No one will die
If we all masturbate
Let's tell the generals
To call the attack off
We'll issue new orders
Tell the troops to jack off

Chorus
I don't want anything else
When I think about peace
I touch myself
Oh, I don't want anything else
Oh no, oh no, oh no, yeah

I cum in peace
I want you to know it
When you're fearing war
I want you to stroke it
You search for peace
I know where to find it
You must love yourself
Just grab hold and grind it

Chorus:
I don't want anything else
When I think about peace
I touch myself
Oh, I don't want anything else
Oh no, oh no, oh no

I don't want war
Because war is bloody hell
And when I think about peace
I touch myself
Ooh, oooh, oooooh, aaaaaah

I, I, I, I, I don't want anything else
When I think about peace
I touch myself
Oh, I don't want anything else
When I think about peace
I touch myself

I touch myself (7x)
[MasturbateForPeace.com] (x4)
I honestly do
I touch myself (3x)
[MasturbateForPeace.com] (x4)
I honestly do
I touch myself...

Does size matter?

How about size, shape, curve, colour, hardness or shine? *cough#29cough* :rollseyes

Here's a contest where you can vote for the most aesthetically pleasing wang. The contest ends March 22. #27 got my vote. I think it goes without saying that the page is not work-safe.

Monday Mission - 2/24/2003

Monday Mission:

1. Has anyone ever told you that you needed to lose weight or change something about yourself physically? Who told you and what impact did it have on your life? Your perception of yourself?
Last summer, my dad told me that he thought I was fat and then dared to ask if I got a boob job! :boobies Ummm, I wasn't about to let him have a look to prove my point. I've really tried to make changes to my eating habits, since there's nothing wrong with my exercise routine, and I've lost 5 pounds since December.

2. Do you enjoy the snow and cold weather?
No. No weather extremes for me! :hot :cold

3. Visualize the perfect winter evening. Are you alone or with someone? How does the evening start? How does it end, and everything in-between.
Candlelight dinner, a hot tub, a massage, and nookie. Doesn't matter in what order. Obviously this is not something to do alone. Right, G? :wink

4. I've noticed that people I work with, even no more than 6 feet away, would rather e-mail me a message than turn around and speak to me. Same goes for voice mail, I find I get more calls when I am away than when I am available to speak to someone. So many things that could be said face-to-face are now accomplished electronically. Do you think that technology has had allowed relationships and human interaction to become less personal? Is this a good thing?
I think that long conversations on IM have actually improved communications, I've talked about stuff with people that I'd never have the nerve to bring up in real life. As for e-mail, it's a good way to reach me, since I'm the only person on this planet now who doesn't own a cell phone, but people should never make a habit of always e-mailing and never calling, because e-mails are usually too brief to have any genuine communication happening.

5. One thing I've always wanted to learn is how to juggle. I'm pretty good with my hands, so I am sure I could do it. Yet, I've never made the commitment to sit down and learn how. Is there anything you've been meaning to learn, that you can learn, but haven't? (or maybe you have?)
I can't drive standard, even though I've had a few lessons.

6. On the other side of the coin, there is photography. As much as I'd like to, I will never be as great at it as others. And I am OK with that, still I wish I had the gifts that others have. What skills or talents have you wished that you possessed that you most likely never will? Are you content with that?
I don't think I could learn to play another instrument. I wish I was better with computer hardware so I don't have a nervous breakdown every time I have to open up my case. I wish I could memorize my piano pieces more easily!

7. "AudioBlogs" are a twist on text blogs, where the blogger posts audio files instead of writing their entries. Not far behind the curve are VideoBlogs. While I've tinkered with Audio posts before, I think it excludes too many people and personally, I feel the written word has a deeper impact. What do you think of the concept of "AudioBlogs?" Would you like to hear the voice of your favorite bloggers occasionally? Would you rather listen to or read your favorite Blogs?
I don't think the concept will take off. Too many people are self-conscious about their voices. Besides, I can edit text posts, whereas I don't think I'm eloquent enough to just let my thoughts down in a sound file without sounding like an idjut.

Mother Nature is a bitch

After teasing us winter-weary Ontarians with nice, warm springlike weather for the latter part of last week, she struck again with a vengeance. Mom and Dad woke me up from my sleep to tell me that the driveway was all iced up and I managed to get a ride from someone and make it to church. Seems like I spent a lot of time at church-related activities this weekend. Last night Dan braved the ice and snow to go to a dinner for the church volunteers.

press alt-f4 if you don't want to read mean people-bashing >>>

I met my friend's fiancé for the first time at the dinner. You know me, the queen of grossness, it takes a lot to gross me out. But this guy did. He ate about 3 servings of each course, which included salad, pasta, generic chicken and steamed veggie main course and dessert, plus what E, my friend, didn't eat. Several buns between each course. And I lost track of how many drinks. The age old question: what the fuck does she see in the guy? I'm sure he's a really nice guy, but the piggish tendencies sure make a lousy first impression. The thought of someone putting away that much food at every meal, 3 times a day makes me seriously ill. It's not like he looks an elite athlete and needs all that food either, know what I mean? :puke

As for the Grammys tonight, why should I watch? as if the only category I'm really interested in - #18 - Best Metal Performance will garner much TV time. The bastardized Resident Evil soundtrack version of My Plague is going up against Stone Sour's Get Inside. Hard to say which one I hope will win.

update: Korn won. Yecch.

Friday Nothing

To keep up my streak of blogging every day in February, I'll just blog about how there's nothing worth blogging about today.

That is all.

February 20, 2003

Update time?

Since I don't have to leave for work until 5:30pm, I might attempt to upgrade to MT 2.62 today. But I have a huge headache and the thought of this isn't helping. :headache

update: done, with a minimal pain factor.

Gotta fill up that drawer space

- the poor, broken old dresser

- the much bigger and spiffier new dresser

- I don't think the drawers will stay this tidy for very long

- pretty new sweater, because I have so much extra dresser space now :grin

- how extravagant looking!

Top 5 Tuesday XXV

Top 5 Albums of All Time:

1. Slipknot - Slipknot
Uhh, duh?
2. Use Your Illusion I - Guns N' Roses
Not as good as II, but November Rain is the theme song of this girl's life.
3. Use Your Illusion II - Guns N' Roses
Amazing mix of power ballads and hard rockin'. It's been a favourite of mine since I picked up the CD in 1992.
4. Creed - Weathered
Say what you will, the songs are singable, the riffs are heavy, and the lyrics aren't too shabby either. I don't know why people call them sellouts, that IS Creed's style and they've stuck to it through all 3 albums, I don't see anything sellout-ish about keeping with what works.
5. Disturbed - Believe
A new favourite of mine, every song on this album just makes me want to mosh like a madwoman. I can't get it out of heavy rotation in my car.

Honourable mention: Appetite for Destruction - Guns N' Roses; Miles Davis - Kind of Blue; Enigma - The Cross of Changes; Slipknot - Iowa; Stone Sour - Stone Sour; Roxette - Greatest Hits

a new chest

No, not :boobies, a dresser, wardrobe, whatever you call it - I need a new one. The drawers of my current one get stuck open all the time, and it caused some massive destruction a few months ago when a snowglobe fell off the top and shattered into a bazillion pieces when I was shaking the drawer a bit, struggling to close the damn drawer. Now I've developed a phobia of snowglobes as well. See? I need a new dresser.

So it's off to Ikea today for furniture and köttbullar. :sweden

Have I ever mentioned how cute it is when Göran calls me min sexiga lilla köttbulle? (trans: my sexy little meatball) :love

Self Love, Part III

Just in time for this faaabooooooolous holiday (which I still hate BTW) - I've decided to start dating myself for awhile. I've already got my flowers and my diamond ring.

Some other tips for dating your lovely self:

- eat over the sink by candlelight
- surprise yourself with unexpected gifts (I ordered Destroy Erase Improve yesterday)
- turn the music up and the lights down and slow-dance barefoot in the kitchen
- gently caress your hand or your thigh at the movies
- sleep in your slinkiest nightgown or nothing at all
- take long walks in the moonlight, hand in hand, making plans for the future

After you've dated yourself for a few months, you'll feel rejuvenated and ready to date other people. Or you may feel rejuvenated and realize you've found your soul mate, the love of your life, and you never want to date anyone else ever again. But either way, you'll feel rejuvenated.

me-->:hug<--me

This advice is from the best pick-me-up book I've ever read. Every girl should own it!

update: from Bea - anti-valentines!

update #2: Be sure to say hi to Chris today if you see him around.

Self Love, Part II

press_diamond.gif

The next step in my quest for self love:

Buy thyself a big fucking cubic zirconia. (from Zellers, $49.99 + tax)

...because I haven't forgotten this great advice from The Bad Girl's Guide To Getting What You Want...

update: I returned the CZ because I figured, I'M WORTH A REAL ROCK, GODDAMNIT! So I bought a ring with genuine diamond (chips). There aren't any pics yet, because it's at the jeweler's being sized. (from Wal-Mart, $59.99 + tax)

If you own anything that remotely resembles a wedding band or engagement ring, wear it on your ring finger to a bar or club. Find an object of your desire, talk him up, look him down, flirt him all around. Eventually, he will notice that you're wearing a ring. When he asks if you're married, slowly and seductively run your tongue around your ring finger, pull off the ring, and say in your baddest bedroom voice, "I'm not married tonight."

If you're married or otherwise "taken" and find this advice abhorrent, I have one thing to say to you: GET BENT! We single girls find our pleasure wherever we damn well please!

Can't think, brain hurts!

Forgot to mention that I got a lot of good thinking about my life done at the concert on Friday. Maybe too much thinking, because I've got to try and sort things out now. :headache

On the other hand, cool stuff happened today as well, I came home from SAC and saw a snail mail envelope for me, addressed in very crappy handwriting. I'll chalk it up to eccentricities of genius, because it was from Shannon and contained some BME stickers and temporary tattoos! w00t!

February 09, 2003

Slam-med

WTF is up with these wimpy excuses for dunk competitions?

Nah, give me real all-star competitors and I'll watch the competition again. Not before then!

February 08, 2003

Are you sleeping?

Last night I went to a piano recital by André Laplante at SAC and I was sitting there, and my eyelids got heavier and heavier. It's not like I was falling asleep - rather, I don't think it should be expected of a classical music concert-goer to sit up tall and watch attentively. If you aren't sitting right in the front row (I was near the back) there is absolutely nothing to see. I feel the need to close my eyes because it helps me to concentrate on the music. No, I won't fall asleep, I am actively listening. But concerts should be more condusive to relaxed active listening and provide comfy recliners instead of expecting people to sit up straight and proper.

So if you ever see me looking like I'm :sleeping at a concert, don't bother me, I'm trying to listen to the music! :piano

Friday Five - 2/7/2003

Friday Five:

1. What did you have for breakfast this morning? If you didn't have breakfast, why not?
I had 2 pieces of melba toast with brie spread on top.

2. What's your favorite cereal?
Life!

3. How often do you eat out? Do you want that to change?
We eat out mostly on the weekends. I eat fast food once or twice during the week, I eat it really fast so it doesn't have a chance to hit my stomach and always work out the next day.

4. What do you plan on having for dinner tonight? Got a recipe for that?
I don't know yet. Probably my signature dish, fried rice.

5. What's your favorite restaurant? Why?
Shiki, a Japanese restaurant in London. It is run by Japanese people, not Chinese, and their tempura udon soup..ohmahgawd...it's orgasmic! In Toronto my favourite restaurant is Gretzky's..because it's a fun atmosphere, and cute hockey-loving waiters. :puck :leafs

A bottle of Cutex for $20

When I was a young thang, I thought that nail polish was really expensive, because the only makeup I ever saw were the nice displays at the department store. So when Mom bought a bottle of polish I was shocked that she would spend so much.

February 05, 2003

These are the thoughts

- Why am I wearing cheap $5 jewelry every day? So I got out my Tiffanys silver bracelet and necklace to wear. Hey, what the hell, right?

- Thanks to Amanda, I now know how to stab my hair into a bun with hair chopsticks! I was so happy, I went and bought a pair of el cheapo ones from Wal Mart. Then Mom said, "hey you can use this nice cloisonne pair that we never use to eat with," and as I was experimenting, one snapped in half. Then Mom glued it back together. YaY!

- My hair looks pwetty.

- I feel overaccessorized, but I don't care.

- I hate Aunt Flo.

February 04, 2003

This or That Tuesday - 2/4/2003

This or That:

1. Morning or night person? Morning! although I sure don't feel like one today, considering I got up at 11:45am. But that's still technically morning.
2. Heavy or light sleeper? Used to be the world's lightest sleeper, now I'm somewhere in between.
3. Remember your dreams or not? Sometimes.
4. Do you need a lot of sleep, or just a little? Again, it depends.
5. Do you need something like a nightlight or TV to sleep, or do you prefer complete darkness? Complete darkness is best, but isn't that what eyelids are for?
6. Flannel sheets or some other kind? Never owned any other kind of sheets other than regular cotton.
7. One pillow, or more? One for my head, one for my feet, and one to hug.
8. Bedroom door opened or closed at night? CLOSED...I need privacy to do my schtuff. :wink
9. Wrap yourself into blankets like a cocoon, or just cover yourself with them? Totally mummified.
10. Alarm clock: wake to music or buzzer? Music...radio works too, but there are no good stations here.

February 03, 2003

Honk

They need to invent car horns that scream "FUCK YOU!!!!!" when you honk them - perfect for that asshole who decided to tailgate in the middle of a freezing rain storm tonight. Then he passed me! on a 2-lane road!!!

*sits on horn*
FUCKYOUFUCKYOUFUCKYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is pretty close to what I'm imagining, but not close enough. Hrm.

Monday Mission - 2/3/2003

Monday Mission:

1. Do you remember the first LP, 45, CD or CD single that you bought? Recreate the scene for me.
The first CD I ever owned was Classic Queen. It was a grade 8 graduation gift from my mom.

2. What was the last CD or song that you actually paid money for?
Believe - Disturbed...it fucking rocks!

3. It is my personal opinion that "Munchos" and "Funions" are the most perfect snack food ever. What do you think is the best snack food ever?
Almost anything from Marks & Spencer when they still had stores in Canada. They had these salt and vinegar snacky things called Chipits. Let's see...Sting Me flavour popcorn from Kernels. I'm currently eating wasabi peas. Farmer Brand Dried Peanuts. Men's Pocky.

4. Comedian George Carlin once pointed we consider the things we like to keep around us to be our "stuff," whereas other people's stuff is just junk to us (ok, he used more colorful language, but you get the idea). What "stuff" do you have that someone else might just throw away if they were cleaning out your house?
Bubble wrap.

5. Do you think it is wrong for people to rush to e-Bay and start selling Space Shuttle Columbia collectibles?
Yeah. I really don't think it needs an explanation.

6. Does it bother you when President Bush speaks about God and invokes scripture quotations from the Bible during his speeches?
Of course, but I know why. In Dubya's mind God is American and Republican as well. Which is one fucked up idea to have.

7. I have a friend who think's she's being photographed in public restrooms. What paranoid delusion do you have?
I hate when I'm driving and someone follows me for awhile.

Dreams aren't what they're made of

Last night, I dreamt that I was pregnant.

Don't worry. There isn't any chance of THAT happening, unless you can somehow get knocked up from masturbation.

Ever have one of those dreams that really sticks with you, even after you wake up? This was one of them.

I like this interpretation:

If the dreamer is a woman and you dream you are pregnant then you will see a big increase in your income.

And yes, I do know who the father was supposed to be in my dream, but I'm not gonna tell. :grin

Gung hay fat choy!

In case you didn't know, "Gung hay fat choy!" is a salutation for Chinese New Year, which is today.

The best thing was that I finally bought a beautiful Chinese-style shirt for only $38 Canadian! (~$25 US) Originally, I wanted something in this colour, but you can see that the shirt I decided on suits quite well too. :pleased
