Didn't you just buy a nice swimsuit, selecting the more revealing model because of all the hard work you've put into keeping your body trim and healthy? I'd go with that attitude. After all, you wouldn't let a jackass driver convince you that you were a bad driver because you weren't going fast enough for him and he just had to cut you off. This is the same deal. He/she not only has some problems with body image, but also a boorish lack of social skills. (I've run into this with my wife's relatives, who must believe that because I've "married into the family" I care what they think, so they make some of the rudest observations.) So please consider the source before taking his/her obviously unfounded comments to heart.

Geez, well, at least you didn't say, "I'm going to hang onto the new bathing suit so that when I sun myself, I won't be mistaken for a beached whale." I believe I remember seeing a picture of you sitting in a deck chair, wearing shades and a black bathing suit, looking for all the world like a sleek, pampered gazillionaire babe. Weren't you heavier then (spring 2000) than you are now?
