BMI - bullshit or helpful?

"In Asians, the respective BMI cut-off points should be set at between 22 and 25 for overweight, and 26 to 31 for obesity, the experts argue."

My current BMI is 21.2...only a hair below overweight. According to this "Asian BMI scale", my starting BMI would have put me at nearly obese. Lovely.

that sounds wrong...the BMI shouldn't matter between races since bodies differ within them. it should go solely based on height and body structure as most BMI lists usually do.

Hey, I love the new design! I hadn't been able to check your blog for a while so this is my first time seeing it.

BMI is a crock of sh*t. For instance, a bodybuilder with a few years of heavy training will likely have a BMI that indicates obesity even if he has a relatively low percentage of body fat. BMI is a crock of shinky, egg-headed horse manure.

The BMI is complete shit. I'm a 16 year old Varsity Wrestler complete with muscles, near six-pack, and a 6:30 mile time. The BMI says I'm overweight. :faint
