Number crunching
My dad has used the same blowdryer since 1970. He likes it because unlike blowdryers today, which are like hurricanes, this one just emits a gentle breeze. Personally, I prefer the hurricane for my hair, but I digress.
Last night over dinner (at a restaurant no less) Dad was saying that he should take the blowdryer on Antiques Roadshow and find out its worth. He marveled over the fact that it still works. Then we did a little math.
3 minutes of blow drying daily x 365 = 1095 minutes yearly
1095 x 33 = 36 135 minutes
36 135 / 60 = 602.25 hours
602.25 hours / 24 = 25.09375 days
Conclusion: No wonder the damn thing still works!
