Breaking every mold
I am SO not made for the corporate life. How do you suit types handle having deadlines and working under pressure? It's SO not me! Every job I've ever had has been artsy (except for the telemarketing gig but I prefer to forget that job ever happened) I'm just not used to the suits being uptight. In Chinese there is an expression "Tickled but still don't laugh.." Everything seems so formal and I'm afraid to crack a joke for fear of looking unprofessional. Just loosen up already!

Oh gawd, sounds like my job! You do adjust, well you have no other choice in the matter.

I used to be a suit. But I never conformed to that suit standard, only when I was talking with clients was I serious, back at the office it's all up for grabs. Nothing says that you can't have a serious job and have fun doing it, and even having fun meeting deadlines :)
And yeah, you adjust, and if all else fails, (as long as you're making good money) who cares about work, as long as you can have fun after work, and at the end of the day you still think it was a good day, even if you can't have fun at your job.
